Wire Rope Examination

Aim

Standard one and two day courses are available, aimed at people involved in the selection, use, inspection and examination of steel wire ropes.  The courses provide the delegate with knowledge of rope terminology, properties of different types of wire ropes, how and where a rope is likely to deteriorate, how to carry out a detailed examination on a wire rope, correct installation and maintenance of wire ropes and the in-service condition assessment of a rope in accordance with standards and legislation.
